Brain-Cycle Study

The purpose of the Brain-Cycle study is to understand the role of gonadal hormones on the brains structure and function across the menstrual cycle. We plan to enroll 30 participants over the course of 19 months.

We are looking for participants who…

  • Are a biological male or female

  • Are between the ages 18 and 35 years

Participants will complete daily neuroimaging scans via functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), questionnaires, and urine samples across their average menstrual cycle length. For male and females currently on hormonal birth contraceptives, the study duration will be 28 days. Participants may be compensated up to $380-$500 dollars for their time and effort. Study visits will take place at The Mind Research Network (MRN) in Domenici Hall, 1101 Yale Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
