OASIS (Observing Alcohol use after Sexual assault and its impact on Students)
The purpose of the OASIS (Observing Alcohol use after Sexual assault and its impact on Students) study is to learn more about behavioral differences in trauma type, sexual and non-sexual, characteristics of a traumatic event, and alcohol use behaviors. This study will also assess the role of gonadal hormones in moderating the relationship between trauma type, PTSD symptoms, and alcohol use behaviors. We plan to enroll 96 participants in this study over 18 months.

We are looking for participants who...
are cisgender and female
are between 18 - 25 years old
are currently enrolled in college
have experienced at least one stressful life event
have consumed alcohol within the last 30 days
are regularly cycling (experience a menstrual period approximately every 20-35 days)
Participants will complete a 2-3 hour in-person research interview and answer daily questions through an app on their smartphone for approximately 2 months. Participants may be compensated up to $554 for their time and effort.
Study visits will take place at the Psychology Clinical Neuroscience Center (PCNC) in Logan Hall, 2001 Redondo S Dr, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
